Description: This saree is hand painted with Mithila art on handwoven ghicha silk fabric. The painting on the saree is unique and represents artists vision of natures bounty love and fine expression of peacocks in the garden, signifying joy and happiness. The aanchal and paar is decorated with subtle red, green, blue and yellow motifs with fine dancing peacock design. Sita’s bidai in doli (palki) is the prominent design in the aanchal of the sari.

Mithila or Madhubani art originates from the Mithila region of Indian state of Bihar. The art prominently displays different styles and aspects of nature and scenes and deity from ancient epics.

Ghicha threads, typically coming out from pure Tussar silk threads, are processed for dying and offers the natural texture and an exceptional sensational weaving.  Ghicha sarees are incredible part of the story of Bhagalpuri weaving tradition, and the sarees incarnates beauty, brilliance, grace, and elegance.
