Description: This saree is hand painted with Mithila art on handwoven tassar silk fabric. The painting on the saree is unique and represents artists vision of natures bounty love and fine geometrical pattern, giving sense of calm and importance of balance in nature. The aanchal and paar is decorated with fish motifs and black and red fine geometrical pattern.

Mithila or Madhubani art originates from the Mithila region of Indian state of Bihar. The art prominently displays different styles and aspects of nature and scenes and deity from ancient epics. Tassar is valued for its texture, charm and natural gold color, which is unusually rich and deep. It is the primary kind in the silk which has a lustrous, bright, soft hand feel and has highest wear resistance in the natural fabric.
